This policy explains how Care3 Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as HerdHalo, collects and uses your personal information when you visit this website or get in touch with us. We are the data controller for that information.

- Registered in England and Wales, Company No. 17224198.

The information we collect
Information you give us. When you register your interest or contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, farm or business name, email address, phone number, farm type, number of animals and the products you are interested in.
Information we collect automatically. When you use the site we collect limited technical and usage data, such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We use Vercel Web Analytics (aggregated and privacy-friendly) and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process data on Google’s servers. Where you consent, we also use Google Ads cookies for advertising and remarketing. See “Cookies and tracking” below and our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a farm trial or follow-up.
- To keep you updated about HerdHalo, where you have asked us to.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To measure how the site is used and, where you consent, to show you relevant advertising (including remarketing).
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Our legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Consent — for marketing emails and for non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising/remarketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, run and secure the site, and understand how it is used, where this does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to keep or disclose information by law.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics and (where you consent) advertising and remarketing. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent. Full details, including how to manage your choices, are in our Cookie Policy.
Advertising and remarketing
We use Google Ads to show you HerdHalo adverts on other websites and platforms based on your previous visits to this site (remarketing). Google may set its own cookies and process data under its own privacy policy. Remarketing and advertising cookies are only used with your consent, which you can change at any time.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business under appropriate agreements, including:
- Our cloud hosting and storage provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Our website hosting and analytics provider, Vercel.
- Google, for Google Analytics and (with your consent) Google Ads.
- Email and customer-contact tools we use to reply to you.
- Professional advisers, or authorities, where required by law.
Where your information is held
Your HerdHalo data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) strictly in their UK region. Some service providers — for example Google (Analytics and Ads) — may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete or anonymise it. Enquiry and registration details are kept while we are in contact with you about HerdHalo and then removed when no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- ask for a copy of certain data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time; and
- complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@care3labs.co.uk.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to deal promptly with any issues.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
